Pagan Celebration of Yule
Yule marks the turn of the Wheel of the Year from the waning to the waxing. Yule is a joyful festival, in the dartk and cold of the year, we know that it promises longer and lighter days and Spring and new beginnings are the future.
Winter Solstice is the shortest day and the longest night of the yesr. Darkness triumphs, yet gives way to change into light. The breath of nature is suspended, there is a stillness when time itself stops, and then the great miracle, the day grows a bit longer. It is a time for feasting.
Come celebrate this solar event, Yule, on Sunday, December 17, at 9:30 AM. We will gather at the circle of benches under the trees. outside the courtyard fence, near the Cedar Lane entrance driveway. Bring your hope for the coming Spriing.
Early inhabitants of Earth, Pagans, celebrated Yule centuries ago acknowledging all the gifts of the Universe: The air we breathe, the water we dringk, the fire that keeps us warm, the earth that gives us food and shelter.
