CARING FOR THE CAREGIVER SUMMIT
NOVEMBER 2, 2024
A Caring for the Caregiver Summit will be held at Cedar Lane UU Congregation on November 2, 2024 to explore how faith communities can support caregivers. The conference will address the increasing demands and diminishing resources for those who need care and those who provide it.
The goal of the summit is to explore the issue of caregiving, its impact on family caregivers and how faith communities can provide needed support for congregants who are caregivers. The event will feature a panel of caregivers discussing their experiences and needs and another panel highlighting resources available to caregivers in the DC metro area.
The conference is targeted toward Pastoral Visitors/Caring Ministry Teams but is open to everyone who is facing caregiving challenges. November is National Caregivers Month.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Check in is 9:00 am and the day will conclude at 3 pm. Register at bit.ly/CaregiverSummit_Registration
The Summit is funded in part by the Fund For Unitarian Universalism and by Cedar Lane UU Congregation.
Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Congregation is located at 9601 Cedar Lane, Bethesda, MD 20814. Parking is available on site.
